Location:  Place de la victoire, 68100 Mulhouse

In the Alsace region of France, German and Swiss food are famous. The day we moved to Mulhouse, this restaurant was first in our list. It had a good amount of positive ratings and had traditional food.

I ordered the Gambas & St. Jacques Tarte Flambée (flammekueche) and it was very delicious. The seafood tasted fresh and the dough was well cooked, apart from the burnt crust. To me, I didn't like the tomatoes. It was a little cooked but it didn't match the dish. However, the mushrooms were perfect. My husband ordered Spaetzles Alpins. I had a little taste and in my opinion, the fondue was too strong for me. The white wine was overpowering but the Spaetzles was eggy and soft.

After a week, we visited the restaurant again. Crazy right? This time I had the Roesti El'Diablo. It's a burger but the dough part is a crunchy potato fritter. It was SO FREAKING YUMMY. Inside there's chicken, chorizo, cheese, tomato, and a delicious sweet spicy sauce.
My husband ordered a Forestière Tarte Flambée. It was a very simple dish with fresh cream, mushrooms, and french bacon; similar to a pizza.

I hope this will be on your list when you visit Mulhouse.

Talk to you soon,

Charmaine

Le Mont-Saint-Michel is an island, in high tide, and a vast land, in low tide, sitting in the outskirts of the Normandy region. When the tide is low, you could walk around the vicinity and sink your toes in the sand, just be careful, there might be sinking sand. I would recommend going early to find parking and beat the rush of tourists. You can walk from the parking lot to the entrance door which takes about 30 - 40mins. Or you could take a free shuttle bus which takes 5 - 8mins.

So, if you do walk from the parking lot to the front doors, I recommend comfy shoes. Be prepared to walk the whole entire day and warning: there are a lot of stairs which are pretty steep (I felt like I did a stair master workout).
I suggest to bring food, snacks, and a lot of water because touristic places are expensive, of course. But if you do have some money to spend, there are quite a few shops and restaurants around.
If you need to use the loo, you have to pay. When I went it was 0,50 centimes.

When I went it was the high peak summer season. The weather was hot and humid with a ton of tourists. I will definitely go back during the high tide when the city is surrounded by the magical waters of Le Mont-Saint-Michel.

Talk to you again soon,

Charmaine

It was difficult to walk around this small ruelle

I've used so many apps to edit my photos: VCSO, Facetune, Instagram, now Lightroom. I wasn't content of the theme I wanted on my Instafeed until I fiddled around with Lightroom. I'm still a beginner but I hope I can still help you! I taught myself how to upload presets and create presets. There are numerous presets online that are free. But no matter what, you will have to adjust the settings. So, I'm going to share with you how to edit your photo in Lightroom, mind you this is a VERY BASIC edit.

Start by uploading a photo in Lightroom and adjust according to what I have done or what suits you.

This is the original picture

Scroll down to reduce blacks

Scroll down Detail Settings

I went back to Light Settings to make it more brighter
Cropped the Image

Then finish!
If you want to save your settings then you can create a Preset so you don't have to go back to the beginning to adjust the settings.
Click the three dots on the top right corner, name your preset, then ✓!

I hope this has helped you get to know a little bit of Lightroom. I will create another post about downloading presets, setting a mood in the photo, a different type of photo edit: scenery.

Talk to you soon,

Charmaine
